Global Community Organizer
Lead the Society's events and chapters worldwide: launching new chapters, supporting organizers and keeping a growing international network connected.
What you'll do
- Oversee all Society chapters and their organizers across cities and time zones.
- Launch new chapters: recruit organizers, onboard them and support first meetings.
- Maintain the shared events calendar and the playbooks chapters run on.
- Coordinate chapter activity with the AGI Conference, publications and press.
- Gather feedback from members and organizers and improve how the network works.
What we're looking for
- Experience organizing communities, events or distributed volunteer networks.
- Strong written communication and follow-through across time zones.
- Comfort working with researchers, students, professionals and the public alike.
- Interest in artificial general intelligence and its consequences.
Terms
- Remote, anywhere in the world.
- Hours are fully flexible. Work when and as much as suits you.
- Volunteer to start. The Society has no funding yet; we intend to create paid positions as funding allows.
- Healthcare and other benefits will be offered as far as the Society can afford them once funded.
